Joshlia... An Accidental Happiness -- My Joshlia ❤ Journey (Oct 8, 2017 -- Forever)

I am niether a fan nor a hater of either actors. First of, I am no fan of Filipino series or movies for a long time now. I am more of Korean drama, movies and songs. It's a personal choice. We have TFC at home and the amount of stress the Filipino dramas brought me are more than I can handle. I work in a very stressful environment and having stress at home during my relaxation time will definitely drive me crazy.
Just recently, I took vacation from work to regain my confidence and self-worth. During this break from work I decided to do a movie marathon on TFC Cinemaone. Wow, there's like 7 movies on the list namely and in this order:
All You Need is Pag-ibig
#WalangForever
Para sa Hopeless Romantic
Foolish Love
Vince and Kath and James
Once a Princess
My Ex and Whys
First movie I watched was Para sa Hopeless Romantic. Pretty cool as I like Jadine too. Nadine Lustre is a woman that you will love so much.
Then, Once a Princess by Enchong Dee and Erich. I cried of course. LoL!
Then, My Ex and Whys. Cried again like a crazy fool.
Then, #WalangForever was next. Broke my heart to pieces.
Next was Foolish Love and All you need is Pag-ibig.
Notice how I skipped watching VKJ several times since I did my movie marathon? It was the last and only movie I have not watch on the list.
VKJ was the only movie left on the list unwatched. I was even planning not to watch it at all as I find the plot kind of cliché. Don't judge me. I have been burnt by this kind of movies several times. But, nothing to do, decided to give it a try. (Didn't know this movie was based on a popular thing online and was published into a book later until I finish the movie and search about it.)
Beginning of the movie I was like, "hhmmmm, another HS/College achuchuchu." 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I know, I prejudge the movie on its first 95 seconds. I even missed the name of the cast as I went to the kitchen to get coffee. Then, Joshua was on the screen. So I was like "Okay?~" Then an actor I don't know. Sorry Ronnie, I didn't watch Filipino shows in such a long time. Had to research about you after watching the movie. 😄😄😄
And then, there is Julia. Another, "hmmmnnm, okay?~" After few minutes, "Oohhh, this lady can really act!" and "Ohhh, this Joshua Garcia is really good too!" And then.... out from nowhere... I AM HOOKED. JOSHLIA WOKE MY HIBERNATING HEART. 🤣🤣🤣
Everything seemed natural. That's how I felt as I watched the movie. THEIR CHEMISTRY IS OOZING. They made me feel young and inlove. Even my 6 year old son begun to like them too.
After the movie I searched about them on the internet. 😂😂😂😂 I can't get enough of them.
I chanced upon a video of Julia Barretto's interview. And WOW!!! This lady has substance, eloquence and grace. She may sound conyo as other people describes her to be, but I find nothing wrong with that. She is what/who she is. She grew up in an English speaking environment and I see no wrong in her way of speaking. She is very articulate, one thing that made me a Julia fan in an instant.
I saw Joshua Garcia in one episode of TGL before and he is a very good actor but since I don't watch Filipino dramas I have no way of "knowing" him. I just found out more about him after I watched VKJ. This young man has great potentials and is already proving himself as a good actor. He is a good man and son, as described by a lot people. And I think it is true. He seems to be a really nice and sweet young man after watching old clips of his interviews and guesting. One of my friend and a distant relative of Joshua even told me that he make time to passby his cousin's work place whenever he is in the area to say hi and take pictures with fans if time allows. He is a humble and lovable guy from the beginning.
I tried watching all show they were in as much as possible. (Still looking for the video of their MMK episode. Heard it was really good). As I continued to search about them, I found out they had a movie called Love you to the stars and back. It was shown Last August 30 and I am a month and week late watching this movie. Tried searching the movie online but no luck. 😭😭😭 So, I contented myself by watching their YT videos. And found out that Joshua is courting the beautiful Julia. What's a shipper next move? Dig in some more... 😍😍😍😍
Then, I started to follow them on IG and Twitter. And I was impressed by Julia's past and current posts about family and life. Her circle of friends speaks volume about her personality. Alora for one, is a big revelation for me. This made me love her even more. What she said in one interview is really true. "That she is prejudge by a lot of people". I saw it in the amount of hate she got and is getting. But this lady is just honest. She speaks her mind and wears her heart on her sleeve.
The true Julia, the one that people don't know about is probably the one whom Joshua fell inlove with. That led them to be each others "Baba". I am not sure if these 2 are already together in real life but seeing them together every now and then despite not doing any project together is such a pleasure to my shipper heart. I love the support and acceptance they got and are getting from each other's family and friends. Their happiness overflows and is being spilled and sprinkled to a lot of Joshlia shippers. It is so pleasing, however cheesy their IG and Twitter posts are, bring so much joy to a lot of people who loves them. I talked and have made friends to some fans that are working/living abroad like me. I was told that the mere existence of these 2 beautiful human being bring them inspiration and happiness while working hard away form beloved ones. JOSHLIA'S happiness radiates and fill our hearts with so much love and help us to endure the loneliness and hardship of working in an unfamiliar country and people.
Hope to see them together in a project soon. I will be rooting for these 2 and will be praying for their success in every project. May it be individual or together.
